Denver, CO or OMGSnow!

The above is a picture from my hotel room, excuse the screen.

The view from the hotel lobby's windows.

Taken on an airplane headed to Burbank, looking down. Every once and awhile it hits me (through bouts of fear and clutching onto the flyer next to me) how lucky we are to be alive at this time in history (worldwide turmoil aside). Not many people have lived on this earth that can say they saw this type of view.

Also, some random pictures from Marquette that I just stumbled upon. I guess I never posted them.

Me, fishing/providing dinner for the Morrison clan.

Joe, reeling one in.

View of the cottage ("camp") from the lake.

What were you doing in god awful Denver? ;)

I wish I had my camera, I have pictures from when I got stuck there in the December blizzard. It was unbelieveable.

I was there for a conference for work two weeks ago. It wasn't that god awful. How can you say that about a place that made CASA BONITA possible? ;)

I didn't know you got stuck there! I hope all is well with you...

Now you've made me want to fish.

Also, the shots taken from the airplane are cool -- especially the one where you can see the curvature of the earth.

Fishing was a lot of fun.

At first I was a sad for the fish, since I was taking it away from its family and all. Then I realized if I were inevitably going to be eaten, I'd much rather be eaten by something that would really enjoy me rather than just a bigger fish.

I think your reasoning is excellent. Plus, it'd make a good story in fish heaven.

Fish 1 - "How did you die?"
Fish 2 - "A bigger fish ate me. What about you?"
Fish 1 - "I was pulled from the sea by the Gods into the great unknown above the waterline. I put up quite a fight, but in the end, I was overpowered and accepted my fate as a sacrifice to the surface dwellers."

Yes, yes!

That's exactly how I imagined it. Plus! Fish #1 got to be grilled and slathered in bacon. All in all, a heroic death and also a very tasty one.
